Lingaa is Tamil action thriller film being directed by K. S. Ravikumar, who also scripted the film in collaboration with the film's dialogue writer, Pon Kumaran. Super stars Rajinikanth playing dual role, Jagapati Babu, Anushka Shetty and Sonakshi Sinha in the lead roles. Music is being composed by A. R. Rahman.

The soundtrack is composed by A.R.Rahman and was released on 16 November 2014.The film is expected to be released by 12 December 2014, coinciding with Rajinikanth's birthday.

International acquires worldwide rights of Superstar Rajinikanth's Lingaa. Eros
will release Lingaa worldwide in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi amongst other
languages this December.
The film is set to have a worldwide release on an average 5500 screens
The first poster featured Rajinikanth walking with
a temple being shown in the poster's backdrop.A teaser for the film was
released on November 2014. The trailer was released
on 16 November 2014 at the movie's audio launch. A 40-second song teaser of
"Mona Gasolina" featuring Rajinikanth and Anushka Shetty was released on 17
November 2014.
